Policies & Procedures

Rehearsals & Attendance
  • Rehearsals: Tuesdays at 7:00pm (unless otherwise noted) from September through June. Regular attendance is vital as we depend on all members' contributions to the band.
  • Please arrive early to warm up, tune, and be ready for a 7:00 pm downbeat. The room is available at 6:45 pm.
  • If you are unable to attend rehearsal, please email pcwband@gmail.com preferably with 48 hours’ notice.
  • Bring your music to all rehearsals and work with your section leader to ensure all parts are covered in the event of your absence.

Concerts
  • Performance attire is either (1) PCWB t-shirt, black pants, black shoes and socks or (2) all black formal wear: black shoes and socks, black pants or long skirts (below the knee) or dresses; tops with sleeves, no spaghetti straps or tanks, please. Holiday and other events may vary.
  • All music is property of PCWB and will be collected periodically.
  • Volunteers are always needed and welcomed. See any board member if you or a friend or family member are willing to assist with pre or post concert needs.

Dues
  • Dues are necessary to cover expenses related to the ongoing functionality of the band including: venue rentals, music purchases, equipment transportation, and conductor stipend.
  • Adult members: $30/term.
  • Dues are requested by the third rehearsal of each term, or the third rehearsal of the season if paying for the entire year. If this is a financial hardship, partial or full waivers are available with application. See Lonny Doi, Band Treasurer, for details.
